Gold and Silver Rectangle Keum Boo Necklace

Used Keum Boo Technique to make this statement petite rectangle necklace. 24 karat pure gold leaf is fused by using high heat and pressure onto fine silver sheet that I saw into hammered petite rectangle shape. And the chain is Sterling Silver Cable chain.

The rectangle pendant is approximately 3/16" wide and 1/2" long. 

The gold foils placements vary in each piece.

It measures 16+2” extender.

What is Keum Boo?

In Korean it means "attached gold". First the silver is depleted into fine silver by using enough heat. Then 24 karat gold foil is applied with heat and pressure. This technique allows the fine silver permanently bond with pure gold.
