Used Keum Boo Technique to make these statement ginkgo leaf drop earrings. I saw this ginkgo leaf from fine silver sheets and then fused 24 karat pure gold leaf by using high heat and pressure onto this gingko leaf shapes.
Accentuated by the warm glow of hessonite garnet beads, each piece is a harmonious blend of nature-inspired design and exquisite craftsmanship.

What is Keum Boo?
In Korean it means "attached gold". First the silver is depleted into fine silver by using enough heat. Then 24 karat gold foil is applied with heat and pressure. This technique allows the fine silver permanently bond with pure gold.
